Overflow in the SewerGEMS Dynamic Wave Solver

The behavior of manhole overflow when using the SewerGEMS Dynamic Wave solver varies depending on which Surface Storage Type you choose as follows:

No Storage: overflow at rim elevation

Default Storage Equation: overflow at 2.0 ft above the rim

Note: When you use this surface storage option and you see a positive value reported in the Overflow result field, this is flow that exceeds the 2.0 ft limit and is lost from the system.

Ponded Area: no overflow

Surface Depth-Area Curve: overflow at the highest depth in the table
